Shirley AzaLeigh Rylander, 79, of Lake Jackson TX entered Heavens Gates and was reunited with her husband Michael on September 11, 2016. Shirley was born on June 26. 1937 to Albert & Willie Perkins in Detroit, TX. Shirley married Michael Norman Rylander on May 22nd 1959 and they were together until his passing.
Shirley volunteered and served as the President of the Womens Auxillary in Sargent, TX. She worked for many years as a Real Estate Broker of Rylander Reality. Her hobbies included many crafting items; painting, sewing, making her own jewelry - she truly...

Shirley AzaLeigh Rylander, 79, of Lake Jackson TX entered Heavens Gates and was reunited with her husband Michael on September 11, 2016. Shirley was born on June 26. 1937 to Albert & Willie Perkins in Detroit, TX. Shirley married Michael Norman Rylander on May 22nd 1959 and they were together until his passing.
Shirley volunteered and served as the President of the Womens Auxillary in Sargent, TX. She worked for many years as a Real Estate Broker of Rylander Reality. Her hobbies included many crafting items; painting, sewing, making her own jewelry - she truly was a crafter at heart.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and five siblings.
Shirley is survived by her son, Michael Norman Rylander II (wife Lisa); daughter Deborah Lanette Rylander nee (Simkins); granddaughters Deanna Lanette Simkins, Darby Leigh Simkins, and their father David Simkins. She is further survived by her siblings Sarah Gertrude Shaw, Donald Ray Perkins, Richard Dwayne Perkins, Eva Marie Rogillio, and Yvonne Schree Carter as well as numerous other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15 from 6pm-8pm at Restwood Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 16 starting at 2:30pm at First United Methodist Church of Lake Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the American Diabetes Association in memory of Shirley Rylander.
